Did you know that sunscreen is the best anti-wrinkle cosmetic? Wouldn't you like your SPF sunscreen to not only effectively protect, but also nourish and moisturize your skin? And of course, for it to be as natural as possible….

Let me briefly introduce myself:

I’m like a delicate lady. I will protect your skin against the harmful effects of UVA and UVB sun rays. I contain a high-quality blend of natural mineral filters – zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, so you can safely use me, even if you have sensitive skin that’s capricious and often reacts by becoming red. I’m very light, I absorb well and I don’t leave the effect of a white mask. You can use me under makeup, also mineral based. Apply before going out into the sun and repeat the application after bathing and during a long sunbathing session. I will make sure that you can enjoy the sun’s energy like a real GODDESS OF SUMMER.

How do I smell? Like the Queen of Summer! Sensual, exotic, energetic.

I have a very light texture that is quickly absorbed and works well with makeup.

I come packaged in an airless container made of high-quality, recyclable PET-G plastic – so that all the compounds contained in me remain fresh and super active and so that they activate on your skin, instead of oxidizing in the jar.

natural substances obtained from olive oil (Hydrogenated Ethylhexyl Olivate, Hydrogenated Olive Oil Unsaponifiables) – leave the skin supple, giving a feeling of silky smoothness, creating a light, non-greasy protective layer on the skin,
betaine – deeply moisturizes and prevents the loss of moisture through the skin, protects against the effects of harmful substances and soothes irritations,
sunflower oil (Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil) – moisturizes, strengthens and nourishes,

What will it be like having you under my makeup?

We will be great together! Sky Girls tested me for all types of makeup and I proved a success both under mineral based makeup and under foundations applied wet! I don’t roll, I don’t cake, I don’t shine, I don’t turn white and I don’t run off. And you, my darling, remember that you are just as beautiful without makeup as you are wearing it.

I can’t believe that after applying natural filters you can avoid having a white mask on your face...

I have natural minerals in my composition – zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, so I am in fact white right after I come out of the package. Anyway, that makes sense – after all, the colour white best "reflects" the sun's rays. However, we don't want a bleached or white face, so to avoid that, apply me to the face and neck in layers. First, apply one layer, gently massage it in and give the minerals a moment until they “blend” into the skin. Then apply a second layer. In this way, you will evenly spread me over the skin and I will give your skin a delicate glow, without the effect of a white mask.

What does SPF 25 stand for?

SPF stands for Sun Protecting Factor and it’s an indicator that determines the degree of protection against UVB radiation. That is (in short) the radiation that causes us to get a tan and which, in excess, can lead to sunburn. It is generally agreed that the safe time for the skin to stay in the sun without any protection is about 15 minutes. The SPF number indicates how many times a given cream extends this time of remaining safe in the sun. And so – SPF 25 extends the safe time of staying in the sun twenty five times. This means I protect you from UVB for about 6 hours and 15 minutes (25 times 15 minutes). You say that's long? Yes, it’s quite a lot! SPF 25 has been defined in the regulations as "medium protection".

Do you also protect against UVA radiation? To what extent?

Absolutely! After all, I wouldn't leave you alone with UVA rays, because they’re pretty serious! Worse even than UVB rays – because they show no visible symptoms in the short term, and yet they craftily damage the skin to a much deeper level than UVB rays. UVAs are always there – even on a cloudy day. And worst of all, they even pass through glass! So I also protect you from them. The degree to which I protect against UVA has been tested in relation to the protection I give against UVB and was rated as medium. After all, SPF 25 (my level of protection against UVB radiation) is also described as "medium protection". So everything is consistent.

Isn’t SPF 25 too low? I think SPF 50 must protect more effectively.

That's true. Although the difference in protection effectiveness between SPF 50 and SPF 25 is only 2 percentage points. SPF 50 protects approximately 98% and SPF25 approximately 96%. Of course, the difference between them is greater when it comes to length of protection time (SPF25 protects for more than 6 hours, SPF 50 twice as long). Even so, remember that any sunscreen – regardless of the level of protection it gives – must be supplemented if there is a risk that it will be rubbed off with sweat, sand or water.

How much should I apply to my face and neck to achieve the declared level of protection?

The amount of cream according to the EU standard needed to obtain the appropriate level of protection declared in a given product is 2 mg/cm2 of skin. Calculated as the area of the entire face and neck, this means a portion of about 1-1.25 g of cream. On average, about 0.8 g is enough for the face alone. One pump of my container weighs about 0.28 g, so about 2.5-3 pumps of the cream are enough to protect the face.

Does the titanium dioxide in your composition come from rutile or from anatase?

Heavens! That’s a really insightful question! But since I’m proud of my origins, I will be happy to answer. The titanium dioxide in my composition comes from rutile.

Are you suitable for all skin types?

Certainly! Due to my velvety texture, every complexion will like me. I’m loved by the owners of mixed skin prone to imperfections, because after our "meeting" they needn’t worry about clogged pores and pimples. Sensitive skins love me too. Of course, sensitive skins can be capricious and react differently – but those who have used me say that I don’t irritate and that they feel great wearing me. And Sky Girls with dry skin will love me enormously, because in addition to the minerals that protect, I also contain compounds that moisturize and nourish the skin.

Do you have a fragrance?

Indeed I have! I smell like summer, sun and holidays… Like the Queen of Summer! Sensual, exotic and energetic. You can sense notes of pineapple, coconut and a mysterious fresh scent that surfers love... It's the scent of wind and a humid ocean breeze.

How long will you last for?

One pump action of cream weighs approximately 0.28 g. I come in a 50 ml container, so for normal every day use (because that's how filters are used, even in winter:)) – I should be enough for 1.5 – 2 months.

Are you also suitable for men?

Absolutely! Men really appreciate my texture and the fact that I don’t leave a "ghost" mask on the face. And they love my exotic scent ... Your guy is sure to steal me away from you!

Where does the alcohol in your composition come from?

Let me start by saying that alcohol (ethanol, not distilled alcohol) is only about 0.01% (one hundredth of a percent) of my composition, or a total of 0.005 g (five thousandths of a gram!) – and in such a low concentration that it definitely poses no threat to you. Alcohol in cosmetics often acts as either an extracting substance (extracting active substances from plants) or a preservative. Alcohol appears in my composition because it’s an element of one of the extracts.

Where does the salicylic acid in your composition come from?

Again – in total I only contain about 0.15% of it (fifteen hundredths of a percent) – and in such a low concentration that it certainly poses no threat to you. Salicylic acid is an element of the preservative arrangement in my composition. How serious that sounds! But yes! Every cosmetic containing water in its composition must be protected against microorganisms that could otherwise (without preservatives) start to develop in it. And after all, cosmetics – to be effective, must first be safe.

Can I also use you if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

There are no contraindications for using me during pregnancy or breastfeeding. However, pregnancy and early motherhood is a time when a lot of changes occur and your skin may have various “cravings” and need a different kind of care, so observe it closely and lovingly give it what it needs. It will pay you back with a beautiful appearance and radiance. And in case of any doubts – of course consult your attending physician.

Are you vegan?

Indeed I am! Like all Be The Sky Girl cosmetics, I’m 100% vegan and not tested on animals. Yes, I know that in the European Union testing on animals is in any case forbidden, so saying that I’m not tested on animals is stating the obvious, as required by law. But for me, being cruelty-free and vegan is more than just a legal requirement. It's a heart-felt need – I love animals and I want a cruelty-free world for all of us.

How long should I use you?

You’ll find my expiry date on the airless bottle in which I’m packed. I’ll remain in good condition throughout that period. And it doesn't matter when you first used me. Since I’m packed in an airless bottle, every drop that you put on your skin is fresh and the rest that remains in the package doesn’t come into contact with the air, so you needn’t worry about it drying out or becoming contaminated.

Do you need to be kept in the refrigerator?

There’s no such need! I’m sufficiently protected against all microorganisms and have been tested for stability and durability under extreme conditions. I managed to survive both a -15 degrees frost and a +45 degrees heat wave!

What is your packaging made of? Has it been made in the spirit of less waste?

My packaging is made of good quality PET-G plastic, which is recyclable up to 15 times. I’m perfectly in line with the policy of less waste.

It is very important to use cosmetics that protect our skin from the sun, because the UV radiation emitted by the sun reaches the earth 365 days a year. It may be strongest in summer, but this doesn’t mean that it is safe for the skin the rest of the year.
