My name is TIME IS AN ILLUSION Rejuvenating face cream with a stable retinal 0.09%. I combine scientific expertise (stable, phospholipid-encapsulated retinal at a concentration of 0.09%) with the power of nature (herbal extracts that mimic the effects of retinol) to: rejuvenate your skin—firm it and smooth out the wrinkles, reduce discolorations, brighten and even out skin tone, and minimize imperfections and curb excessive oiliness and shine. First, let me proudly share that the stability of the retinal within me has been confirmed by the scientific research! Studies conducted at an independent scientific institute have confirmed that "the retinal contained in the product maintains its stability at the declared level of 0.09% within 12 months of opening." First and foremost, remember that I am exclusively a night cream, and during the day, your skin should be protected with a high SPF sunscreen.   Do not use me if you are pregnant, and if you’re breastfeeding, please consult your doctor before applying. How do I smell? Think of a zesty lime lemonade, with a hint of lemon grass

And my color? Thanks to stable retinal, I have a beautiful yellow hue. So be sure to protect white clothing or bedding – as I may leave yellow stains if we come into contact.

I have a lightweight texture, making me easy to spread on your skin. And what’s more, I’ve managed to maintain a highly natural formula (98.5% ingredients of natural origin according to ISO 16128) and am 100% vegan! Good spreadability is key when you can’t use too much of me (you’ll find more on this in the “How to Use” section), and yet it’s important that we thoroughly cover your entire face (or neck and décolletage). My excellent application properties come from a carefully crafted fatty base (including Abyssinian oil, sweet almond oil, shea butter, milk thistle emollient, and oil-based ferments). • Fermentoil (Pseudozyma Epicola/Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil/Olive Fruit Oil/Sunflower Seed Oil/(Angelica Gigas/Licorice/Lithospermum Erythrorhizon) Root Ferment Extract Filtrate)—a blend of oil ferments (argan, olive, and sunflower oils) and herbal extracts (angelica, licorice, and gromwell)—gently nourishes and supports skin regeneration.

How should I be used?

Remember, to ensure that our journey together is safe, enjoyable, and brings the best possible results, you need to introduce me into your skincare routine gradually and carefully observe how your skin reacts. Below, I’ve gathered some guidelines on how to use me in your routine – especially if you’ve never used retinoids before or if you’re returning to them after a long break. I’ve also prepared some special tips for those with sensitive skin.

 A) IF YOU'RE NEW TO RETINOIDS OR RETURNING TO THEM AFTER A LONG BREAK:

Start slowly! 

• In the first two weeks, apply me no more than 1-2 times a week, with a few days between applications. Your skin needs time to build up a tolerance to retinal.

• If you notice any irritation, redness, or excessive dryness after using me, take a break for a few days until those symptoms subside. During that time, focus on moisturizing and strengthening your skin’s barrier. You can use the abundant antioxidant facial oil serum BORN TO BE RICH layered over the hydrating base of the KEEP LIFT lifting and moisturizing serum. For gentle cleansing, try the EASY GOING 2-in-1 face cleanser and make-up remover. Once the irritation disappears, come back to me. Over time, your skin will adapt to my effects, and we’ll be a great match!

• If, at the beginning of our journey, you experience a breakout (it’s just your skin purging!), don’t worry and don’t stop using me – those uninvited guests should disappear after a few more applications. Of course, if the breakouts persist or become severe, stop using me and consult your doctor, as it could be a sign of an allergy to one of my ingredients.

• Remember, we’re all different, and the key to skincare success is always mindful observation and adjusting your routine to how your skin reacts.

• Gradually increase the frequency of application – after the initial 2-3 weeks, try using me every other or every third day. If your skin responds well, you can move to daily use.  

 2. Application:  

• Remember to use me ONLY at night. During the day, protect your skin with high SPF sunscreen.
  
  
• First, thoroughly remove your makeup and wash your face. It’s best to use the 2-in-1 Cleansing and Makeup Removal Emulsion EASY GOING for this. You can then tone your skin – the Rose Liquid Serum MIST 'N' ROSES is perfect for this.
  
  
• Wait 15-20 minutes until your skin is completely dry. This is an important step – don’t skip it! Water can make the top layer of your skin more absorbent, increasing the likelihood of irritation when you apply me. And we don’t want that!
  
  
• Apply a pea-sized amount of me on your index finger. It’s crucial not to overdo the quantity – the amount for your face should be no larger than a pea. Spread me evenly over your face, avoiding the immediate eye and lip areas.
  
  
• You can also apply me on your neck and cleavage – a pea-sized amount for each of these areas. 
  In the morning, cleanse your face, tone it, and apply a moisturizing or restorative cream (Abundant antioxidant facial oil serum BORN TO BE RICH or Moisturizing and protective city cream I LOVE THE CITY work great here), followed by a sunscreen with high protection (as per the instructions below). Avoid direct sun exposure on the areas of skin where you applied the cream.

 4. Sun Protection:

Retinal increases your skin’s sensitivity to the sun, so every day, make sure to apply a high-protection sunscreen (SPF 50/PA++++ or higher) to your face, neck, and décolletage. Reapply sunscreen throughout the day, especially if you’re outdoors, at the beach, or sweating.

B) SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR PEOPLE WITH SENSITIVE SKIN:

If you experience significant irritation after applying me to your skin, take a break from using me and wait until your skin calms down (during this time, moisturize and rebuild the skin’s hydrolipid barrier). When you next apply me, use the so-called "sandwich method" described below: 

• Remove makeup and cleanse your skin in the evening, then tone it (E2-in-1 Cleansing and Makeup Removal Emulsion EASY GOING and  Rose Liquid Serum MIST 'N' ROSES work perfectly for this).
  
  
• Next, apply a thin layer of moisturizing cream (you can use Moisturizing and protective city cream I LOVE THE CITY) and wait about 10 minutes for the cream to absorb.
  
  
• Only then apply me – as described in section A above. Wait another 30-40 minutes and apply another layer of moisturizing cream. For the rest of the skincare steps – follow the instructions in section A.

C) NOTE FOR THOSE REGULARLY USING RETINAL IN THEIR CURRENT SKINCARE ROUTINE:

Even if you regularly use retinal products and your skin is already accustomed to them, introduce me into your skincare routine cautiously. Take a break after the first application and observe how your skin reacts. If everything is fine, you can use me as frequently as your skin is already accustomed to.

D) CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR THE USE OF RETINAL AND PRECAUTIONS:

• Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Do not use retinal if you are pregnant. Consult with your doctor before using retinal if you are breastfeeding.
• Active irritations: Avoid use if you have active skin irritations, eczema, acute inflammation, or open wounds.
• Allergies: If you are allergic to retinoids or notice an allergic reaction to any of my ingredients, do not use me again.
• Severe skin reactions: If you notice severe redness, burning, or swelling, discontinue use and consult a dermatologist.
• Certain dermatological or cosmetic treatments: 
  - If you are undergoing a dermatological treatment involving oral or topical retinoids – consult your doctor to see if you can simultaneously incorporate me into your skincare routine.
  - If you are undergoing various cosmetic treatments (e.g., microdermabrasion, laser therapy, HIFU, etc.) – consult your cosmetologist about using me.
  
  

6. Interactions

While using retinoids, avoid using strong acids or substances that disrupt the hydrolipid barrier. Use moisturizing, repairing, soothing, and strengthening products for your skin. In the products you will use during breaks between retinal applications, you can include ingredients such as stable derivatives of vitamin C (e.g., Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate), niacinamide, ceramides, hyaluronic acid, and other moisturizing substances, hydrosols, natural oils, butters, etc.
